The following primary health services are currently available, located in our primary health area. Access is via the external ramp and entrance from the veranda. Walk through to the east wing for allied health services.

Physiotherapy
Rebecca Stamp (Bec) has been working with us here at Yackandandah Health since 2008 with over 20 years experience in the physiotherapy field.
Physiotherapy is available to provide advice, treatment, education and support on a variety of health issues including: health and wellbeing, managing chronic conditions, physical activity and healthy lifestyles, strength training exercise programs, falls prevention, pain management, vestibular rehab, mobility problems and rehabilitation following surgery.
Community members over 65 years are welcome to participate in Bec’s Monday morning exercise class commencing at 10.30 am. The class consists of strengthening, balance, cardiac workout and circuit training.

Bowen Therapy
David Thorpe is a qualified Bowen Therapist. He has a Diploma of Specialised Bowen Therapy, has studied Mind Body Bowen and has extensive experience in using the technique for relieving physical ailments as well as addressing emotional issues.
Bowen Therapy can have a profound, positive effect on health and well-being. A very gentle therapy, it is appropriate for all ages, including newborn babies.
The technique can be beneficial for:- Back pain and sciatica
- Neck and shoulder problems
- Sports and accident injuries
- Knee, ankle and foot problems
- Respiratory problems and hay fever
- Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome

Podiatry
Beechworth Health Service provides a Podiatry service to the Yackandandah community, one day per month. This service can be accessed by calling Beechworth Health Service on 0357 280200 and speaking to the intake officer.
The Podiatrist can provide a range of services such as:- Routine nail care, corn and callous removal
- Prescription of functional and accommodative orthoses
- Vascular neurological and diabetes assessments
- Management of conditions resulting from bone, joint, neurological, circulatory and systemic disorders

Note that members will be able to hire equipment at a 50% discount off the following rates:

$5 per day or $10 per week.
