Stage 1 of our Master Plan is finally coming out of the ground. This will provide new homes for up to 36 people as part of our $14 million four-stage development plan. Joss Construction has been working on site since late September, with the initial focus being on preparing the infrastructure for the new building.
This included a new sewer line, electricity network, drainage, fire services and the construction of the ring road and carpark.
The road base has recently been compacted and will be sealed once the entrance from Isaacs Avenue is completed.
The slab for the south wing was poured on Thursday 25th January. The north wing slab will be poured this week on the 1st or 2nd February.
Structural steel will also start arriving this week.
The residents have enjoyed watching the activity from the Dudley and Kiewa lounges which provide an excellent vantage point.
