Our $5.8million new building is nearly complete, plans for an intergenerational model of care are progressing and now it’s time to celebrate our local communities’ involvement in Yackandandah Health.
Put the dates in your diary and join us on Friday, 9 November for an afternoon conversation with our international speaker and local Q&A panel and again on Saturday, 10 November for our Community Celebration on site at 20 Isaacs Avenue.

Friday, 9 November 2pm for a 2.30pm start – 5.30pm
Ageing Well: Innovations from around the world – Dr Jane Barratt, Secretary General of the International Federation on Ageing.
Q&A panel: CEO, Annette Nuck; Jackie French author and 2015 Senior Australian of the Year; Dr Helen Haines the Senior Research Fellow and Director, Rural Health Academic Network and Indigo Shire Mayor, Cr Jenny O’Connor

Saturday, 10 November 9am to 2.30pm – Community Celebration
We’re celebrating what it means to be part of the Yackandandah and district communities with this free event that offers something for all ages. Come and join us.
For the kids: old fashioned games, competitions, baby animals, roving circus, toy making and more
For families: health and wellbeing talks, music, steam engines, Men’s Shed demonstrations, electric cars and bikes, competitions, health checks
Other: Costa Georgiadis – celebrity guest. Market stalls, food, Indigo FM
Saturday, 10 November 8pm – Living Memory
Whether you missed it or experienced it last November, don’t miss this year’s special return performance. Living Memory is a series of monologues telling the life stories of some of our aged care residents, performed by the Yackandandah Theatre Company and supported by Arts Yackandandah. Tickets will go on sale in October.
