Yackandandah Health has a busy program of development and change planned for the next year. In order to check-in with the community about these initiatives, we are forming a Community Reference group.
CEO, Annette Nuck said the group of eight to ten interested members would be selected to present a cross-section of community views.
“We are calling for people who have a connection to, or an interest in aged care, community health, innovation, families, arts or culture. They can apply by submitting a one page letter outlining their interest and connections,” Mrs Nuck said.
“The final selection will be based on the mix that presents the broadest connection to the community and community groups,” she said.
“During initial consultation on Yackandandah Health’s plan for Stage 2 (development of a community hub), a focus group was used to seek feedback from a variety of community members. The input was of a very high standard. This showed us there was real interest in what we are doing and how much we could learn from the community.
“I really encourage anyone with an interest to read the Terms of Reference and apply. The application only requires a one page letter outlining the reasons why you are interested and what community involvement you have – we are trying to make it as simple as possible.”
Applications close on 19 July. The first meeting of the Community Reference Group will be held at the end of July.
Applications can be sent to a.nuck@yackhealth.com.au or via post to 20 Isaacs Ave, Yackandandah VIC 3749 by 4pm on Wednesday, 19 July.
