Our priority is protecting local older Australians
The #ProudToProtect social media campaign provides a vehicle for individuals and all aged care organisations to show pride in protecting yourselves, our staff and the older Australians in your care by getting vaccinated.
Yackandandah Health is working together with staff to protect the older Australians in our care. Part of this protection is ensuring and enabling our staff be vaccinated against COVID-19.
“Keeping our residents and those who care for them safe in the global pandemic is a top priority,” said Andrea O’Neill CEO
“We have ensured all our staff has had a Covid-19 vaccine prior to the introduction of mandatory vaccination on 17 September 2021.”
“We are proud to protect ourselves, our workforce, our residents/care recipients and the broader community by ensuring all staff and residents can access vaccines.
“Our passionate staff continue to provide a helping hand, as we work to protect our staff and those in our care. And while this continues, we are realising the effective, efficient and safe vaccination of our workers.”
The staff have been wonderful in supporting each other. Yackandandah Medical and Little Yacks Learning Years have also actively taken up our #ProudToProtect initiative.
“Our organisation is celebrating vaccination success, as a way of encouraging others to get vaccinated and to improve protection of staff and residents, children, families and the Yackandandah Community.”
“We have also worked with our management team to support their discussions with staff, answering their questions and discussing issues related to the mandating of vaccination.”
For Home Care and the Commonwealth Home Support Program we are ensuring that our staff are also supported as they choose to get vaccinated.
