The cast of Living Memory at the afternoon performance for the residents of Yackandandah Health.
Everyone at Yackandandah Health would like to say a very heartfelt thank you to all involved in last weekend’s Living Memory production.
To those who interviewed our residents and scripted their stories, the pre-show entertainment groups, the musicians, actors and support people as well as our own staff who volunteered at performances, this was an event that showcased what Yack does best and we were honoured to be part of it.
The residents enjoyed having their stories told and were delighted in the amount of interest. The stories were presented in such a way that they held the attention of all ages and contributed to awareness about lives well lived, ageing and what we are doing here at Yack Health.
As part of our focus on community interaction on our site, we welcome ideas such as the one Brendan Hogan from the Yackandandah Theatre Company presented us with last year. Congratulations to the Theatre Company for realising their vision at such a high standard.
For those who missed the performances, it is now available as a podcast here.
