The Community Reference Group was formed in July 2017 to enhance our understanding of community perceptions and issues and encourage community partnerships around our future plans for Yackandandah Health.
The group has met three times and provided input on our existing projects:
- Development of the website,
- Operation of the Medical Centre,
- The Community Hub consultation and
- Planning for the official opening of Stage 1 of our development which is now being built.
CEO, Annette Nuck said group members have also brought new ideas to the table.
“We sought people with a connection to, or an interest in aged care, community health, innovation, families, arts or culture. This group has all those aspects covered and they are providing really valuable insights and connections to a broader cross-section of the Yackandandah community,” Ms Nuck said.
“Individual members have made suggestions about events, such as the Folk Festival scheduling a performance or two at Yack Health, ideas for promoting the Assisted Living apartments that are now being built and feedback on what community members want to know about Yack Health.
“We are really happy to answer people’s questions about what we are planning at Yack Health and to consider ideas. The Community Reference Group members have really helped with that.”
