During the winter months at Yack Health our craft group, Knit ‘n’ Natter met every Tuesday afternoon.
Not all the members of the group are able to knit but still enjoy the “natter” part of the activity. This group decided to make pom poms. Fourteen members spent weeks winding, cutting, designing and laughing as they made beautiful coloured pom poms.
The end result is a lovely rug measuring 63 x 76 cms. The rug has been finished off and backed and can be used on the floor or as a colourful wall hanging.
The rug is on display at Yack Health and being auctioned via a silent auction.
To register your bid you can:
- Send a direct message via our Facebook page
- Email us at info@yackhealth.com.au and put Pom Pom in the subject line
- Drop your bid in an envelope to the box in reception
Funds raised will go toward the resident activity program.
The Knit ‘n’ Natter group regularly knits knee warmers, beanies, bags, scarves, teddies, dusters and mittens. Some items are sold in our café and others are donated to the wider community – the Wodonga Hospital, Ambulance Wodonga and The Salvation Army to name a few.
Auction Closes
The auction closes on 21 December 2017 and the successful bidder will be announced on 22 December.
